Peter then says that he has received three messages from Tom on his answering machine. However, Peter is not currently home, so he asks Tony to pass along a message to Tom. He wants Tony to tell Tom to call him at his grandparents' house. This means that Peter is currently staying with his grandparents and that's where he can be reached. Peter also mentions that he has been staying with his grandparents for the past two weeks. However, he forgot to tell Tom when he last saw him. This means that Peter forgot to mention to Tom that he would be staying with his grandparents for an extended period of time.
